Gajera International School celebrated Post Office Day, an exciting and educational adventure that opened a window to the world of mail and communication for our youngest learners. The day was filled with wonder, exploration, and hands-on activities that left our learners with lasting memories and important lessons.
Back at the preschool, our little adventurers engaged in a range of interactive activities that deepened their understanding of the post office's role in our community. Each child had the opportunity to write a letter or draw a picture to send to a family member or friend. This hands-on experience allowed them to practice fine motor skills while expressing their creativity and affection through art and words.
The learners visited to our local post office, where the children's eyes widened with amazement as they observed the bustling activity of mail carriers and postal workers. They saw letters and parcels being sorted, weighed, and stamped, and witnessed the magic of the mailbox as it whisked away their handwritten letters to far-off destinations.
As the day came to a close, our pre-schoolers left with a new found appreciation for the post office and the wonderful world of mail. They had not only learnt valuable lessons about communication and community but also had the chance to connect with loved ones through the letters they sent.
Post Office Day served as a reminder that even in our digital age, there's something special about the tangible act of sending and receiving mail. It fostered a sense of connection, curiosity, and creativity among our pre-schoolers, and it was a day they will treasure as they continue to explore the world around them.
