SPORTS MEET 2024 – 25
Gajera International School, Katargam, proudly inaugurated its Annual Sports Meet for the academic year 2024-25 on January 8, 2025. The event unfolded with meticulous planning and an array of activities that celebrated the spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork.
The program began with a warm welcome speech that set an energetic tone for the day. This was followed by an insightful address on the importance of sports in fostering discipline, perseverance, and physical well-being. The highlight of the opening ceremony was the torch-bearing tradition, led by the school’s national-level players, symbolizing the flame of determination and excellence.
A spectacular March Past was then conducted, led by the NCC cadets of the school, followed by the Head Girl, Head Boy, the House Captains, Co-Captains and their committee members. Their coordinated movements reflected unity and pride, leaving the audience in awe. The introduction of the esteemed Chief Guests, Ms. Kalyani Saxena and Ms. Devanshi Rana, added a touch of inspiration to the occasion. The Chief Guests were felicitated with tokens of appreciation for gracing the event with their presence.
The cultural segment featured a mesmerizing dance performance that enthralled the audience, along with a synchronized display of Suryanamaskar, highlighting the significance of fitness and mindfulness. The Chief Guests then addressed the gathering, emphasizing the role of sports in shaping character and resilience. Their words resonated deeply with both learners and educators.
Following the speeches, all learners enthusiastically took the sports oath, pledging to uphold the spirit of fair play and integrity. The ceremonial releasing of balloons marked the official commencement of the Sports Meet, filling the sky with vibrant colors and the atmosphere with boundless enthusiasm.
The day’s events included a variety of track and athletic competitions, with learners from grades 3 to 12 showcasing their talent, determination, and sportsmanship. The participants competed passionately, cheered on by their peers and educators, creating an electrifying environment.
