INTERWINING LIVES
This year to celebrate “MAKER’S DAY” a campaign of “PLANT A SMILE” was launched by Sunita’s Makerspace. Under this campaign, a group of 108 enthusiastic learners from Grades 5 and 6 of Gajera International School visited Vatsalyadham – the orphanage, a place rich in culture and activities on 10th October, 2024. The day was filled with various meaningful activity experiences, starting with farming activities where learners got hands-on experience with nature. The learners also participated in a captivating Rattlebeat orchestra, which gave an enriching experience to everyone with its vibrant sounds; followed by a Havan ceremony which provided spiritual nourishment, teaching values of peace and gratitude.
Another highlight was the leaf weaving activity, which honed their creativity and fine motor skills. The leaf weaving activity sparked their creativity, encouraging collaboration and hands-on learning. The learners thoroughly enjoyed each aspect of the visit, leaving with cherished memories and a deeper connection to nature and tradition. This visit provided a holistic experience, blending fun, learning, and emotional bonding. Both groups thoroughly enjoyed the day, leaving with lasting memories.
