National Science Day

Gajera International School in Katargam recently celebrated Science Day with great zeal and enthusiasm on 28th February 2024. The event was not just about commemorating the achievements of science but also about fostering a spirit of scientific inquiry and innovation among the learners. One of the highlights of the celebration was the demonstration of various science models by the learners, showcasing their creativity and understanding of scientific concepts.

The main attraction of the day began – the demonstration of science models by the learners. These models were designed and created by the learners themselves, under the guidance of their educators. Each model represented a unique scientific concept and was presented with enthusiasm and confidence by the learners.

Among the models showcased were:

Solar-Powered Car: Demonstrating the principles of renewable energy, learners showcased a miniature car powered entirely by solar energy. This model highlighted the importance of sustainable energy sources in mitigating climate change.

Volcano Simulator: With the use of baking soda and vinegar, learners created a miniature volcano that erupted with a fizzy lava flow. This model illustrated the process of volcanic eruptions and the chemical reactions involved.

Wind Turbine: Learners constructed a small-scale wind turbine to demonstrate the conversion of wind energy into electrical energy. This model emphasized the potential of wind power as a clean and renewable energy source.

Water Filtration System: Addressing the issue of clean water accessibility, learners designed a model of a water filtration system using simple materials. This model showcased the importance of innovation in solving real-world problems.

These are just a few examples of the innovative science models presented by the learners of Gajera International School. Each model was accompanied by an explanation of the scientific principles involved, allowing the audience to gain a deeper understanding of the concepts being demonstrated.

The Science Day celebration at Gajera International School was a platform for learners to showcase their creativity and knowledge but also a testament to the school’s commitment to promoting scientific education and inquiry. Through events like these, learners are inspired to explore the wonders of science and pursue careers in STEM fields, contributing to a brighter and more innovative future.
