“Navratri Celebration”

“Cultures grow the vine of tradition”

Navratri is a festival that is celebrated for nine nights. It marks the victory of Goddess Durga over the evil Mahishasura. People worship the nine avatars or incarnation of Maa Durga for nine days.

Gajera International School has organized Traditional Dress Competition, Where students were dressed up and play garba. Their traditional outfits, ethnic jewelries, their actions and facial expression were a visual treat. It was a great learning experience which integrated the fun filled competition with the Interpersonal & Intrapersonal intelligences of the students, teaching them about the unity hidden in diversity. The love and respect for our tradition and legacy is deeply rooted in the Gajera International School premises, in the form of the young ones.

The girls were dressed in the colorful ‘ghaghra cholis’ and boys were dressed in the beautiful ‘kediya’, which was the theme for this event. Everyone was dressed in traditional dresses and had groomed beautifully. All the bright colored fabrics made the event attractive. It was a colorful event with educators joining the learners enthusiastically in their dance. They celebrated this festival in a very joyful manner and enjoyed every moment by performing dance in garba style.

The event became an excellent example of celebration of tradition with joy and fervor at its fullest. All of them celebrated the day with joy and cheer. It was indeed a beautiful sight dancing tiny tots gracefully in the rhythm.
